Andres F. Fernandez is a partner at Del Cristo & Fernandez, P.A. and focuses his practice on commercial and business litigation, international dispute resolution, business negotiations and mediations, as well as defense industry licensing and regulatory matters. Mr. Fernandez routinely handles cases involving complex commercial litigation, employment defense, business torts, and regulatory litigation for companies that range from startups to multinational corporations. Mr. Fernandez has represented clients in diverse complex actions in both State and Federal Court.

Before earning his law degree, Mr. Fernandez founded and operated publicly and privately held corporations that manufactured munitions and advised and trained government forces under U.S. military contracts. He also served as a tactical adviser to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and the Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco Firearms and Explosives. He advises his clients on matters involving the Arms Export Control Act (AECA), the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and other defense contracting laws and regulations.

Having built and sold several public corporations, Mr. Fernandez knows firsthand the complexities of starting and managing a business and of taking a corporation public. He, thus, approaches his cases from the business owner’s and counselor’s perspectives. He is knowledgeable about complex federal and international regulations governing securities, environmental matters, import-export and manufacturing that affect his clients in a wide spectrum of industries. He is able to structure sophisticated financing agreements between domestic entities and foreign governments in complex international deals.

Raised in South Florida, Mr. Fernandez has also lived in Colombia and Spain. He is fluent in Spanish. In addition, he is a licensed private pilot.
